What types of events does DOU Events plan and manage?
We specialize in weddings, private celebrations (birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, etc.), and corporate events (conferences, retreats, product launches, galas).
Which areas / locations do you serve?
We are located in Cedar City, UT, primarily servicing Iron & Washington Counties, and are open to travel for destination events (fees apply).
How far in advance should I book your services?
For full service weddings and large corporate events: ideally 9–12 months ahead. For smaller private celebrations: 3–6 months is often sufficient. But we try to accommodate last-minute requests when possible.
What is your pricing structure?
Pricing depends on event type, services required (planning, coordination, design, décor, rentals, etc.), guest count, location, date, and complexity. We offer customizable packages and will provide a detailed proposal once we understand your needs.
How do you handle vendor coordination?
We have a network of trusted vendors (caterers, florists, lighting, rental companies, etc.). We work with you to select vendors, obtain competitive quotes, negotiate contracts, and ensure all vendor deliverables and timing align with your event timeline.
Do you offer full‐service wedding planning, partial planning, or day-of coordination?
Yes — we offer different tiers of wedding services: full planning (everything from start to finish), partial planning (you’ve done some things already; we assist with the rest), and day-of / month-of coordination to make sure your day runs smoothly.
Can you help with design and styling of the wedding (theme, décor, lighting)?
Absolutely. We’ll work together to define your aesthetic, source décor, coordinate color palettes, floral design, lighting, linens, table settings, etc., to create your desired atmosphere.
How do you handle unexpected issues on the wedding day (weather, vendor cancellations, etc.)?
We build contingency plans (e.g. rain plans, backup vendors). Our team is on-site to manage any issues that arise, keep things on schedule, and mitigate disruptions so you don’t have to worry.
How many meetings will I have with you, and what communication can I expect?
Typically, we schedule regular meetings — often monthly, then weekly or more frequently as the event approaches. Communication happens via email, phone, video calls, and site visits depending on your needs. You’ll also receive timelines and checklists to track progress.
What kinds of private events do you handle (birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, etc.)?
We can plan celebrations of many kinds: milestone birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties, baby showers, retirements, family reunions, and more. Whether intimate or large scale, we tailor our services to the type of celebration you want.
Is there a minimum guest count or budget for private celebrations?
We don’t require a strict minimum in all cases, but services (especially full décor, rentals, etc.) may have base costs. We’ll work with you to design something beautiful within your budget.
Can you manage décor and entertainment for private parties?
Yes. We handle design and décor, as well as sourcing and coordinating entertainment (DJ, live music, performers), food & beverage, lighting, photography, and any extras you desire.
What corporate event services do you provide?
We plan conferences, seminars, retreats, workshops, product launches, award ceremonies, holiday parties, and team‐building events. Services include venue sourcing, AV & technical support, branding, guest logistics, catering coordination, and run-of-show execution.
How do you incorporate branding into a corporate event?
We ensure your company branding is incorporated throughout: signage, themes, printed materials, digital displays, projector screens, lighting colors, branded gifts, and any marketing collateral you want tied into the event.
Can you work with vendors/suppliers already contracted by our company?
Yes. If your company already has preferred vendors, we can coordinate with them alongside others as needed to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to your budget/timeline.
